Things to Explore in the Summertime in Robbinsville, NC

One of our family's many FAVORITE places to go in the summertime is Yellow Creek Falls. Located approximately 15 minutes from the property, it's a great spot for enjoying the breathtaking view of the waterfall. It does involve a 3/4 mile hike over some uneven terrain, but you're doing so alongside the water as it runs swiftly between natures rocks. If you're adventurous, there's a swimming hole once you reach the top, where you can splash in the water and cool off.
Another wonderful spot for swimming and lounging is Cheoah State Park. This park is a GORGEOUS view of Lake Santeetlah. There are a few BBQ grills and a large grassy area to throw a blanket or towel while watching the kids swim. Off to the side, there's a sandy trail that leads to a rock, where mature swimmers love to jump off of.
There are LOTS of hiking options within a short drive, it all really depends on what you're interested in seeing, and how far you're wishing to hike. Some of the more popular trails include: Joyce Kilmer, Huckleberry Knob, Hooper Bald, Findley Falls and many more!
